Asus A3500E - reasonable combination of business and entertainment
Asus is one of the leading IT manufacturers, which is widely known for outstanding dynamics in its development. The company constantly develops and brings to the market new solutions, especially, it is known for its hardware components and laptop computers. Every next product from Asus involves the very up-to-date technologies and achievements in the computer industry.
The notebook, under the scope of this article is a representative of the new Asus line, named A3E. This notebook features an optimal ratio between the price and the quality. Moreover, it is designed for performing typical office applications and to be an entertainment center as well. Being configured as the office computer with 1.6GHz Intel Pentium M central processor, 256 Mb of operating memory and 60 GB of the hard disk drive, the Asus A3500E has the design and multimedia features, turning it into a specific model in its class of devices.
The revealing multimedia character of the Asus A3500E notebook is a panel for the direct controlling the multimedia player, which is located on the front side of the device. This helps to run the player, choose the track, add volume or skip tracks directly from this panel without the use of a touchpad or mouse to control the player.
The materials and design, used in the exterior of the A3500E, distinguish this notebook from other typical office devices. It makes it look, at least, one class higher that it really belongs to.
The new Asus notebook uses a typical fifteen inches XGA- display, providing the resolution at the level of1024 x 768 pixels and has built-in stereo speakers.
The Asus specialists equipped its new creation with a truly significant set of multiple interface ports and connectors. To fit them all in a standard casing of the notebook, they placed the battery in an unordinary place - at the front part of the device. Thus, all the rare part of the A3500E provides area for installing two USB 2.0 ports, a LPT port, a D-Sub and a S-Video out connector. There are audio connectors, the PCMCIA, the LAN port, modem, the IEEE 1394 and two more USB ports on the left side of the laptop. Furthermore, Asus equipped its A3500E model with an infrared port for the wireless connection of different optional devices and a card reader to work with the popular flash memory sticks. The DVD/CD-RW drive also comes into the hardware configuration of the new ASUS laptop.
The wireless functionality of the device is realized through the Wi-FI protocol support.
The lithium-ion powerful battery ensures up to four hours of independent work, which is a good showing, widening the mobility characteristics of the new laptop from Asus.
The weight of the A3500E device is two point eight kgs, which is not a record among the mobile devices, however, taking into account its broaden multimedia functionality, such weight becomes quite understandable and reasonable.
In general, the new ASUS notebook is another interesting and qualitative product from the approved and known producer. The combination of a reasonable price and rich multimedia functionality will, certainly, make the A3500E model a desirable purchase for many people.
